A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Swansea, South Carolina Baby chicks are really charming as well as tough to resist, yet it's best to prepare for their arrival prior to you get them. Prepare initially by collecting not only the proper products, however also the appropriate understanding to look after them. Raising baby chicks is relatively basic, you simply should give them with the following: A tidy and warm environment Lots of food and also water Focus and also love Habitat Your habitat can be a straightforward box, fish tank, feline carrier, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels as well as coverings (without loose strings!) to begin, and after a couple of weeks utilize straw over paper. Note: Avoid utilizing only paper or various other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs can expand malformed. You likewise require something to dish out food and water in, such as a chicken feeder and water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle jar cover for food and a pet bird water dispenser from an animal store. Additionally, as the chicks grow older you could present a perch into the environment to obtain them trained on perching. Warmth To maintain your chicks warm you should provide them with a heat source. This can be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp style lamp from a hardware shop, or an infrared reptile warmth light bulb additionally function extremely well (my referral). Chicks need this heat 24/7 up until their downy fluff is replaced with plumes (which could occupy to 2 months). The recently hatched require a temperature between 90 and 100 levels, and every week this can be lowered by approximately 5 degrees approximately. The warmth resource need to get on just one side of the cage to permit chicks a variety of temperatures. The chicks are your best thermometer- if they are concealing in the opposite edge of your heat lamp, you have to lower the temperature level. If they are smothering each other under the heat (not just cuddling), you need to put some warmth. House cleaning Cleanliness is essential and also it maintains your chicks healthy and balanced. Make sure to alter the bed linens usually as well as consistently provide tidy food and water Food and also water. Chicks grow quite quickly which calls for plenty of tidy food and water. Give enough at all times and also check typically to avoid dehydrated and also hungry chicks. Chick food is various compared to adult chicken food, and it is available in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the first two months, then switch to a raiser food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for one more 2 months, then to a slightly lower healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have levels). Soil Some chicks like to get a running start on taking dirt baths, while others will not use up that task up until they are older. If you have the area in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or dust for them to wash in. Interest and also love There are a few advantages to spending time with your chicks. First off, they will most likely bond with you and not run away as adults. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as enjoy their actions, you can capture illness or other troubles earlier. Keep an eye out for hissing, limping, or other undesirable indicators. Be sure to additionally take a look at their poop, as diarrhea could lead to matted feathers and clogged cloaca. Finally, it is necessary to look out for social problems, such as the smallest chick getting badgered. Vacant nest disorder So your chicks are now fully feathered and also its time for them to leave the security of your home and also move outside right into a coop. Check out our part on chicken coops for more information about coops and correct cage environments.
