A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Millwood, West Virginia Baby chicks are really adorable and also difficult to withstand, however it's best to plan for their arrival prior to you obtain them. Prepare first by collecting not only the right products, however additionally the appropriate understanding to care for them. Raising baby chicks is relatively easy, you merely have to give them with the following: A clean as well as warm and comfortable habitat A lot of food and also water Attention and also love Habitat Your habitat could be a straightforward box, aquarium, cat provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels as well as coverings (without any loosened strings!) to begin, and also after a few weeks utilize straw over paper. Note: Avoid utilizing just paper or various other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs could expand malformed. You additionally require something to dish out food and also water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water meal from the feed shop, or a pickle container cover for food as well as a pet bird water dispenser from a pet dog shop. Likewise, as the chicks get older you could introduce a perch right into the environment to get them trained on perching. Warmth To keep your chicks heat you need to supply them with a heat source. This could be as simple as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design light from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile warmth bulb likewise work extremely well (my recommendation). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 until their downy fluff is replaced with plumes (which can occupy to two months). The freshly hatched out need a temperature in between 90 and 100 degrees, and each week this can be minimized by about 5 levels or so. The warmth resource should get on merely one side of the cage to enable chicks a variety of temperature levels. The chicks are your ideal thermometer- if they are hiding in the other corner of your warmth lamp, you have to decrease the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the heat (not simply snuggling), you need to include some warmth. Housekeeping Sanitation is key and it keeps your chicks healthy. Be sure to transform the bed linen commonly as well as consistently give tidy food and water Food and also water. Chicks expand quite quickly which requires lots of tidy food and also water. Supply enough in any way times and examine typically to stop thirsty and hungry chicks. Chick food is various compared to grown-up chicken food, and it comes in both medicated and non-medicated ranges. Feed chick food for the initial two months, after that change to a grower food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for one more 2 months, and then to a slightly lower protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks prefer to get a head start on taking filth baths, while others will not occupy that activity till they are older. If you have the room in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or dust for them to wash in. Focus and love There are a couple of advantages to spending time with your chicks. First of all, they will certainly most likely bond with you as well as not run away as adults. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily as well as see their actions, you can catch illness or other problems earlier. Keep an eye out for hissing, limping, or other undesirable indicators. Make sure to also look at their poop, as looseness of the bowels could bring about matted plumes and also clogged cloaca. Finally, it is important to look out for social issues, such as the littlest chick getting picked on. Vacant nest disorder So your chicks are currently totally feathered and also its time for them to leave the safety and security of your residence and also relocate outside into a cage. Have a look at our area on chicken cages to get more information about cages and also proper coop habitats.
