A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

How to Care for your new baby chickens in Breaks, Virginia Baby chicks are extremely adorable and tough to withstand, yet it's best to plan for their arrival before you get them. Prepare initially by gathering not just the correct materials, however likewise the appropriate expertise to care for them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably easy, you just should give them with the following: A tidy as well as warm and comfortable environment Plenty of food as well as water Focus and love Environment Your habitat could be an easy box, fish tank, cat provider, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels and blankets (without loosened strings!) to start, and also after a couple of weeks make use of straw over newspaper. Note: Avoid utilizing just newspaper or other sandal surface areas-- or your chicks legs could grow malformed. You additionally need something to serve up food and water in, such as a chicken feeder and water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle container cover for food and also a pet dog bird water dispenser from a pet dog store. Additionally, as the chicks grow older you could present a perch into the habitat to obtain them educated on setting down. Warmth To maintain your chicks warm you have to provide them with a warmth source. This can be as simple as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware shop, or an infrared reptile heat light bulb also function very well (my referral). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 until their downy fluff is changed with plumes (which can take up to two months). The freshly hatched out need a temperature level in between 90 and 100 levels, as well as every week this could be reduced by roughly 5 degrees approximately. The warmth resource need to get on simply one side of the cage to permit chicks a variety of temperatures. The chicks are your finest thermometer- if they are hiding in the opposite corner of your warmth light, you should decrease the temperature level. If they are surrounding each other under the heat (not simply curling up), you have to include some heat. Housekeeping Cleanliness is vital as well as it maintains your chicks healthy. Make certain to transform the bedding usually as well as consistently offer clean food and water Food and water. Chicks grow really quickly which requires a lot of tidy food and water. Offer enough at all times as well as check usually to stop thirsty and starving chicks. Chick food is different compared to adult chicken food, and it can be found in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the initial two months, after that switch to a grower food (~ 17 % protein) for an additional 2 months, then to a somewhat reduced healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks want to obtain a head start on taking filth baths, while others won't take up that activity until they are older. If you have the space in your chick room, introduce a tray of sand or dirt for them to bathe in. Interest and also love There are a few benefits to hanging out with your chicks. First off, they will most likely bond with you as well as not run away as adults. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as watch their actions, you could capture illness or other problems earlier. Keep an eye out for wheezing, limping, or various other harmful signs. Make certain to also check out their poop, as diarrhea could result in matted plumes and also blocked cloaca. Finally, it is essential to keep an eye out for social problems, such as the smallest chick getting picked on. Vacant nest disorder So your chicks are now fully feathery and its time for them to leave the safety and security of your home and also relocate outside right into a coop. Take a look at our section on chicken coops to find out more about cages and also proper coop environments.
