A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

TNTypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Georgetown Tennessee * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Georgetown Tennessee is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Georgetown, Tennessee Baby chicks are quite cute as well as difficult to resist, but it's ideal to prepare for their arrival prior to you get them. Prepare first by compiling not only the proper products, however also the correct knowledge to take care of them. Raising baby chicks is fairly basic, you merely have to give them with the following: A tidy and warm environment Plenty of food as well as water Interest and love Environment Your environment can be a basic box, fish tank, feline carrier, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels and blankets (without loose strings!) to begin, as well as after a few weeks use straw over paper. Note: Avoid using only paper or other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs could expand malformed. You also need something to provide food and also water in, such as a chicken feeder and water meal from the feed shop, or a pickle jar cover for food and a pet bird water dispenser from an animal shop. Additionally, as the chicks age you can present a perch right into the habitat to get them educated on perching. Warmth To keep your chicks warm you should provide them with a warmth source. This could be as easy as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp style light from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile heat light bulb likewise function effectively (my referral). Chicks require this heat 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which can occupy to two months). The recently hatched out need a temperature between 90 as well as 100 levels, and also weekly this could be decreased by approximately 5 degrees approximately. The heat resource should get on just one side of the cage to permit chicks a variety of temperature levels. The chicks are your finest thermometer- if they are hiding in the other edge of your warmth lamp, you have to lower the temperature level. If they are surrounding each various other under the heat (not just cuddling), you need to put some heat. Home cleaning Sanitation is essential as well as it keeps your chicks healthy. Make certain to transform the bedding often as well as constantly provide tidy food and also water Food as well as water. Chicks grow quite fast which requires a lot of tidy food and water. Supply enough whatsoever times and also examine commonly to stop parched and hungry chicks. Chick food is different compared to adult chicken food, and also it can be found in both medicated and also non-medicated varieties. Feed chick food for the first 2 months, after that switch to a raiser food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for another 2 months, and after that to a somewhat reduced protein feed or a level feed (if you have levels). Soil Some chicks want to obtain a head start on taking dirt baths, while others will not occupy that activity up until they are older. If you have the area in your chick room, introduce a tray of sand or dirt for them to bathe in. Interest and love There are a few advantages to spending quality time with your chicks. Firstly, they will more than likely bond with you and not flee as adults. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily as well as enjoy their habits, you can catch health problem or other issues earlier. Watch out for wheezing, limping, or various other undesirable indicators. Make sure to also look at their poop, as looseness of the bowels can bring about matted plumes and stopped up cloaca. Finally, it is important to watch out for social issues, such as the smallest chick obtaining teased. Empty nest disorder So your chicks are now completely feathery and its time for them to leave the safety of your home and relocate outside into a cage. Have a look at our area on chicken coops to find out more concerning coops as well as proper coop environments.
