A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

PATypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Dayton Pennsylvania * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. If you want a mixture of both male and female then choosing a "straight run" will save you money and you will get a mixture of male and female chicks. You can also choose all males or all females too. * Weekly specials. Hatcheries have sales on chicks, you are likely to get a good deal if you are flexible with the breeds you are wanting. Cons of buying baby chicks in Dayton Pennsylvania * Order early to get the best selection. Certain breeds sell out fast, sometimes as early as 6 months in advance of shipping! Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Dayton Pennsylvania is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Dayton, Pennsylvania Baby chicks are very cute and challenging to stand up to, yet it's ideal to prepare for their arrival prior to you obtain them. Prepare first by collecting not only the appropriate products, yet also the correct knowledge to look after them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably straightforward, you merely have to supply them with the following: A tidy and also cozy habitat Lots of food as well as water Focus and love Habitat Your habitat can be an easy box, aquarium, pet cat service provider, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels and also blankets (without loosened strings!) to start, as well as after a couple of weeks utilize straw over newspaper. Note: Avoid using just paper or other slipper surfaces-- or your chicks legs could grow malformed. You likewise need something to provide food as well as water in, such as a chicken feeder and also water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle container cover for food as well as an animal bird water dispenser from a pet store. Likewise, as the chicks get older you could introduce a perch right into the habitat to get them educated on setting down. Heat To maintain your chicks heat you have to supply them with a heat resource. This could be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware shop, or an infrared reptile heat bulb additionally work effectively (my referral). Chicks require this warmth 24/7 up until their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which can take up to two months). The freshly hatched need a temperature between 90 and also 100 degrees, and every week this can be minimized by about 5 degrees or so. The warmth source ought to be on just one side of the cage to enable chicks a range of temperature levels. The chicks are your ideal thermometer- if they are hiding in the other edge of your warmth lamp, you should minimize the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the heat (not simply snuggling), you have to include some heat. Housekeeping Sanitation is vital and also it keeps your chicks healthy. Be sure to alter the bed linen frequently as well as always offer clean food as well as water Food and also water. Chicks expand extremely quick which calls for lots of clean food and water. Give sufficient whatsoever times and inspect often to stop dehydrated as well as starving chicks. Chick food is different than grown-up chicken food, and also it comes in both medicated and also non-medicated ranges. Feed chick food for the first 2 months, then switch over to a grower food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for one more 2 months, and afterwards to a slightly reduced protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks prefer to get a head start on taking dirt bathrooms, while others will not occupy that task till they are older. If you have the area in your chick room, present a tray of sand or dirt for them to wash in. Interest as well as love There are a couple of advantages to hanging out with your chicks. First off, they will certainly probably bond with you and also not flee as grownups. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily and also watch their actions, you could catch disease or other problems earlier. Keep an eye out for wheezing, hopping, or other harmful signs. Be sure to likewise look at their poop, as diarrhea could bring about matted plumes as well as clogged cloaca. Lastly, it is important to look out for social problems, such as the smallest chick obtaining teased. Vacant nest syndrome So your chicks are currently completely feathery and its time for them to leave the security of your house and relocate outside into a cage. Take a look at our section on chicken cages to get more information regarding cages as well as proper coop habitats.
