A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Cooperstown, New York Baby chicks are quite adorable as well as difficult to stand up to, however it's ideal to plan for their arrival before you obtain them. Prepare initially by collecting not just the right materials, however additionally the correct knowledge to look after them. Raising baby chicks is fairly easy, you just should provide them with the following: A tidy as well as warm and comfortable habitat Lots of food and water Focus and also love Environment Your habitat could be a basic box, fish tank, feline provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels and blankets (with no loose strings!) to begin, and after a couple of weeks utilize straw over paper. Keep in mind: Avoid using only paper or other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs can expand misshapen. You additionally require something to dish out food and water in, such as a chicken feeder and also water dish from the feed shop, or a pickle jar lid for food and also a pet dog bird water dispenser from a family pet store. Likewise, as the chicks grow older you could present a perch right into the habitat to get them trained on setting down. Heat To keep your chicks warm you should supply them with a warmth resource. This can be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design light from an equipment shop, or an infrared reptile warmth bulb additionally work effectively (my referral). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with plumes (which could occupy to two months). The recently hatched need a temperature between 90 as well as 100 degrees, and weekly this could be decreased by approximately 5 degrees or so. The warmth resource must get on merely one side of the cage to allow chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your ideal thermostat- if they are concealing in the opposite corner of your heat light, you should reduce the temperature level. If they are smothering each other under the heat (not simply curling up), you should put some warmth. House cleaning Cleanliness is vital and also it keeps your chicks healthy and balanced. Make sure to change the bedding typically and constantly give clean food and water Food and water. Chicks expand quite quickly which requires lots of tidy food and also water. Provide sufficient whatsoever times as well as examine usually to stop dehydrated and also starving chicks. Chick food is different compared to adult chicken food, and also it can be found in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the very first 2 months, then switch to a raiser food (~ 17 % protein) for another 2 months, and afterwards to a somewhat lower healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks like to get a head start on taking dust bathrooms, while others won't take up that task till they are older. If you have the room in your chick unit, introduce a tray of sand or dirt for them to bathe in. Attention and also love There are a few benefits to spending time with your chicks. To start with, they will most likely bond with you as well as not escape as adults. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as see their actions, you can capture disease or various other issues earlier. Watch out for hissing, hopping, or various other harmful signs. Make certain to also look at their poop, as looseness of the bowels can cause matted feathers and also stopped up cloaca. Last but not least, it is necessary to watch out for social problems, such as the littlest chick getting teased. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are now totally feathered and also its time for them to leave the security of your home and also relocate outside into a cage. Take a look at our area on chicken coops to learn more regarding cages and correct cage environments.
