A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Quakertown, New Jersey Baby chicks are quite charming and difficult to stand up to, however it's finest to plan for their arrival prior to you get them. Prepare initially by compiling not only the right products, however likewise the proper expertise to take care of them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably basic, you just need to give them with the following: A clean and warm and comfortable environment Plenty of food and water Interest and love Habitat Your environment could be a simple box, aquarium, cat service provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels as well as blankets (with no loose strings!) to begin, and also after a couple of weeks make use of straw over paper. Keep in mind: Avoid making use of only paper or other slipper surfaces-- or your chicks legs could expand malformed. You additionally need something to serve up food as well as water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water meal from the feed shop, or a pickle jar lid for food and also a pet dog bird water dispenser from a family pet store. Also, as the chicks age you could introduce a perch right into the habitat to obtain them educated on perching. Heat To keep your chicks warm you have to supply them with a heat resource. This can be as easy as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile heat light bulb additionally function extremely well (my recommendation). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is changed with plumes (which can occupy to 2 months). The newly hatched out require a temperature level in between 90 and also 100 degrees, and each week this can be reduced by around 5 degrees approximately. The warmth source ought to be on just one side of the cage to permit chicks a variety of temperature levels. The chicks are your best thermostat- if they are hiding in the other edge of your warmth lamp, you should reduce the temperature. If they are smothering each various other under the warmth (not just snuggling), you have to add some warmth. Housekeeping Sanitation is essential as well as it maintains your chicks healthy and balanced. Be sure to alter the bed linen usually as well as consistently give tidy food and water Food and water. Chicks grow very fast which needs plenty of tidy food and also water. Supply enough whatsoever times and also examine commonly to stop parched and starving chicks. Chick food is different compared to adult chicken food, as well as it is available in both medicated and also non-medicated ranges. Feed chick food for the very first 2 months, then switch over to a raiser food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for another 2 months, and then to a slightly lower healthy protein feed or a layer feed (if you have levels). Dirt Some chicks like to get a running start on taking dust bathrooms, while others will not take up that task up until they are older. If you have the room in your chick unit, introduce a tray of sand or filth for them to wash in. Attention as well as love There are a couple of benefits to hanging out with your chicks. First of all, they will certainly probably bond with you and also not flee as grownups. Second, if you examine your chicks daily and watch their habits, you could catch disease or other problems earlier. Watch out for wheezing, hopping, or other unhealthy signs. Be sure to likewise check out their poop, as diarrhea can cause matted plumes and blocked cloaca. Lastly, it is essential to keep an eye out for social concerns, such as the smallest chick getting badgered. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are now totally feathery as well as its time for them to leave the safety and security of your home and relocate outside into a coop. Have a look at our part on chicken cages to read more regarding cages as well as appropriate cage habitats.
