A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Dumont, New Jersey Baby chicks are extremely adorable and also tough to stand up to, but it's finest to prepare for their arrival before you obtain them. Prepare initially by collecting not just the correct products, but also the proper expertise to care for them. Raising baby chicks is fairly straightforward, you just need to offer them with the following: A clean and warm habitat Lots of food as well as water Interest and also love Habitat Your habitat can be a straightforward box, aquarium, feline carrier, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels and also blankets (without any loose strings!) to begin, as well as after a couple of weeks utilize straw over newspaper. Keep in mind: Avoid utilizing only paper or various other slipper surfaces-- or your chicks legs can expand malformed. You also require something to provide food and water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water meal from the feed store, or a pickle jar cover for food as well as a pet dog bird water dispenser from a pet store. Also, as the chicks grow older you can introduce a perch into the habitat to obtain them educated on setting down. Heat To keep your chicks warm you need to supply them with a warmth resource. This can be as simple as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware shop, or an infrared reptile warmth light bulb additionally work very well (my suggestion). Chicks require this heat 24/7 until their downy fluff is changed with feathers (which can use up to 2 months). The freshly hatched out need a temperature level between 90 and 100 levels, and each week this can be decreased by around 5 degrees approximately. The warmth resource need to get on simply one side of the cage to enable chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your finest thermostat- if they are concealing in the contrary edge of your warmth light, you have to reduce the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the warmth (not simply curling up), you have to add some heat. Home cleaning Tidiness is crucial and it keeps your chicks healthy and balanced. Make sure to alter the bedding frequently and also always offer tidy food as well as water Food as well as water. Chicks grow really quick which needs plenty of clean food and also water. Supply enough in any way times as well as examine frequently to avoid thirsty and hungry chicks. Chick food is different than grown-up chicken food, and also it comes in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the initial 2 months, then switch to a raiser food (~ 17 % protein) for one more 2 months, and afterwards to a slightly lower protein feed or a layer feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks want to get a head start on taking filth bathrooms, while others will not use up that task until they are older. If you have the space in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or dust for them to shower in. Attention and love There are a few advantages to hanging out with your chicks. First of all, they will probably bond with you as well as not flee as adults. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily as well as view their habits, you can catch illness or various other troubles previously. Watch out for hissing, hopping, or various other unhealthy signs. Make certain to also consider their poop, as looseness of the bowels could bring about matted feathers as well as obstructed cloaca. Lastly, it is very important to watch out for social concerns, such as the smallest chick obtaining badgered. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are currently fully feathery and its time for them to leave the security of your house and relocate outside into a cage.
