A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

MNTypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Richmond Minnesota * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. If you want a mixture of both male and female then choosing a "straight run" will save you money and you will get a mixture of male and female chicks. You can also choose all males or all females too. * Weekly specials. Hatcheries have sales on chicks, you are likely to get a good deal if you are flexible with the breeds you are wanting. Cons of buying baby chicks in Richmond Minnesota * Order early to get the best selection. Certain breeds sell out fast, sometimes as early as 6 months in advance of shipping! If you are wanting a certain breed it's best to order your chicks in the fall before their orders sell out.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Richmond Minnesota is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Richmond, Minnesota Baby chicks are extremely cute as well as difficult to stand up to, yet it's finest to plan for their arrival prior to you get them. Prepare first by gathering not just the appropriate materials, however likewise the appropriate knowledge to care for them. Raising baby chicks is fairly basic, you merely should give them with the following: A tidy and also warm and comfortable habitat Lots of food as well as water Interest and also love Habitat Your environment could be a straightforward box, fish tank, pet cat service provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels and coverings (with no loosened strings!) to start, and also after a few weeks utilize straw over paper. Note: Avoid using only paper or various other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs can grow malformed. You likewise require something to provide food and water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water recipe from the feed store, or a pickle container cover for food and also an animal bird water dispenser from an animal store. Also, as the chicks grow older you could introduce a perch into the habitat to get them educated on setting down. Heat To maintain your chicks warm you need to give them with a heat resource. This could be as basic as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp style lamp from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile warmth bulb likewise function extremely well (my suggestion). Chicks need this heat 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with plumes (which can take up to 2 months). The freshly hatched out need a temperature in between 90 and 100 levels, and also each week this could be lowered by around 5 levels or so. The warmth source need to get on just one side of the cage to enable chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your ideal thermometer- if they are hiding in the opposite corner of your warmth lamp, you need to lower the temperature. If they are smothering each other under the warmth (not simply snuggling), you need to add some heat. Home cleaning Sanitation is essential and it keeps your chicks healthy. Make certain to change the bedding often and also constantly offer clean food and water Food as well as water. Chicks expand very fast which needs lots of clean food as well as water. Give sufficient in any way times and check frequently to avoid dehydrated as well as starving chicks. Chick food is different than adult chicken food, and also it comes in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the very first 2 months, after that switch over to a raiser food (~ 17 % protein) for one more 2 months, and after that to a slightly lower healthy protein feed or a layer feed (if you have levels). Soil Some chicks want to get a head start on taking filth baths, while others won't use up that task until they are older. If you have the space in your chick room, introduce a tray of sand or dust for them to bathe in. Focus and love There are a couple of benefits to spending quality time with your chicks. To start with, they will certainly more than likely bond with you as well as not flee as grownups. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as see their behavior, you can capture health problem or various other problems previously. Keep an eye out for wheezing, limping, or other harmful signs. Make certain to also consider their poop, as diarrhea could result in matted feathers as well as obstructed cloaca. Last but not least, it is important to look out for social problems, such as the tiniest chick getting teased. Vacant nest disorder So your chicks are now fully feathery and its time for them to leave the security of your residence and relocate outside into a cage. Check out our section on chicken coops to read more about coops as well as correct cage habitats.
