A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

MNTypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Grey Eagle Minnesota * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. If you want a mixture of both male and female then choosing a "straight run" will save you money and you will get a mixture of male and female chicks. You can also choose all males or all females too. * Weekly specials. Hatcheries have sales on chicks, you are likely to get a good deal if you are flexible with the breeds you are wanting. Cons of buying baby chicks in Grey Eagle Minnesota * Order early to get the best selection. Certain breeds sell out fast, sometimes as early as 6 months in advance of shipping! If you are wanting a certain breed it's best to order your chicks in the fall before their orders sell out.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Grey Eagle Minnesota is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Grey Eagle, Minnesota Baby chicks are quite charming and also difficult to stand up to, yet it's ideal to prepare for their arrival prior to you obtain them. Prepare first by compiling not only the right materials, but also the appropriate knowledge to care for them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably straightforward, you just need to provide them with the following: A tidy and also cozy habitat Plenty of food as well as water Interest as well as love Environment Your habitat could be an easy box, aquarium, feline provider, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels and also coverings (without any loosened strings!) to start, and after a few weeks use straw over newspaper. Note: Avoid making use of just paper or other sandal surface areas-- or your chicks legs can expand malformed. You likewise need something to serve up food and water in, such as a chicken feeder and also water meal from the feed store, or a pickle jar cover for food and also an animal bird water dispenser from a pet store. Likewise, as the chicks age you could present a perch into the environment to get them educated on setting down. Heat To keep your chicks heat you need to supply them with a warmth source. This can be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp style lamp from an equipment store, or an infrared reptile warmth light bulb also function effectively (my recommendation). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with plumes (which could occupy to two months). The newly hatched out require a temperature level between 90 and 100 levels, and also every week this could be lowered by roughly 5 levels approximately. The heat resource ought to be on simply one side of the cage to enable chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your finest thermometer- if they are hiding in the other corner of your heat lamp, you should lower the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the heat (not merely cuddling), you have to put some heat. Housekeeping Tidiness is vital and also it maintains your chicks healthy. Make certain to change the bed linens usually as well as consistently offer clean food and also water Food and water. Chicks expand really quickly which requires a lot of tidy food and water. Offer sufficient in any way times and also inspect frequently to stop thirsty and starving chicks. Chick food is different compared to grown-up chicken food, as well as it is available in both medicated as well as non-medicated varieties. Feed chick food for the very first two months, after that change to a raiser food (~ 17 % protein) for an additional 2 months, and then to a somewhat lower healthy protein feed or a layer feed (if you have levels). Dirt Some chicks like to obtain a head start on taking dust baths, while others won't take up that task up until they are older. If you have the room in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or dust for them to bathe in. Focus and also love There are a couple of benefits to hanging out with your chicks. First off, they will certainly most likely bond with you and also not flee as grownups. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily and view their actions, you can capture health problem or other problems earlier. Watch out for wheezing, limping, or other unhealthy indications. Make sure to additionally check out their poop, as looseness of the bowels could result in matted plumes and also stopped up cloaca. Finally, it is necessary to keep an eye out for social problems, such as the littlest chick obtaining badgered. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are currently fully feathery and its time for them to leave the safety of your house and also move outside into a coop. Check out our area on chicken coops for more information concerning cages and correct coop environments.
