A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

MATypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Essex Massachusetts * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. If you want a mixture of both male and female then choosing a "straight run" will save you money and you will get a mixture of male and female chicks. You can also choose all males or all females too. * Weekly specials. Hatcheries have sales on chicks, you are likely to get a good deal if you are flexible with the breeds you are wanting. Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Essex Massachusetts is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Essex, Massachusetts Baby chicks are quite adorable and also hard to stand up to, but it's best to prepare for their arrival prior to you obtain them. Prepare initially by compiling not just the correct products, but additionally the correct understanding to care for them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably simple, you simply need to supply them with the following: A tidy and warm and comfortable environment Lots of food and also water Interest and also love Habitat Your environment can be an easy box, aquarium, feline provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels as well as blankets (without loosened strings!) to start, and after a few weeks utilize straw over newspaper. Keep in mind: Avoid using just newspaper or various other slipper surfaces-- or your chicks legs can expand malformed. You likewise require something to serve up food and water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle jar lid for food and also a pet dog bird water dispenser from a pet store. Also, as the chicks grow older you can present a perch right into the environment to obtain them trained on perching. Heat To maintain your chicks heat you need to provide them with a heat resource. This can be as simple as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design light from a hardware shop, or an infrared reptile heat bulb also work very well (my suggestion). Chicks require this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which can use up to two months). The newly hatched out require a temperature between 90 and also 100 degrees, and weekly this could be reduced by about 5 degrees or so. The heat resource ought to get on merely one side of the cage to allow chicks a range of temperatures. The chicks are your finest thermometer- if they are hiding in the other edge of your warmth light, you should reduce the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the heat (not just snuggling), you need to include some heat. Home cleaning Sanitation is crucial and it maintains your chicks healthy. Make sure to change the bed linens often as well as consistently provide clean food and water Food and also water. Chicks grow really quick which calls for plenty of tidy food and water. Provide enough whatsoever times and also check typically to prevent parched as well as hungry chicks. Chick food is various than adult chicken food, as well as it is available in both medicated as well as non-medicated varieties. Feed chick food for the first two months, then switch over to a grower food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for an additional 2 months, then to a somewhat reduced healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Dirt Some chicks prefer to get a running start on taking dust bathrooms, while others won't occupy that task until they are older. If you have the space in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or filth for them to shower in. Focus as well as love There are a couple of benefits to spending quality time with your chicks. First off, they will most likely bond with you and also not escape as grownups. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as watch their behavior, you can capture health problem or other troubles earlier. Watch out for wheezing, limping, or various other unhealthy signs. Make sure to additionally take a look at their poop, as diarrhea can bring about matted plumes as well as blocked cloaca. Finally, it is necessary to keep an eye out for social concerns, such as the tiniest chick getting badgered. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are currently totally feathery and its time for them to leave the safety of your home as well as move outside right into a coop. Check out our part on chicken cages to learn more about cages and also proper coop environments.
