A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Nerinx, Kentucky Baby chicks are extremely adorable and tough to stand up to, however it's ideal to plan for their arrival prior to you obtain them. Prepare initially by collecting not only the right materials, however also the correct understanding to take care of them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably straightforward, you just need to provide them with the following: A tidy and cozy environment Lots of food and also water Focus and love Habitat Your habitat could be a basic box, fish tank, feline carrier, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels as well as blankets (without loose strings!) to begin, and after a few weeks make use of straw over newspaper. Keep in mind: Avoid making use of only newspaper or various other slipper surface areas-- or your chicks legs can grow malformed. You likewise require something to provide food as well as water in, such as a chicken feeder and also water dish from the feed shop, or a pickle jar cover for food as well as a pet bird water dispenser from a family pet store. Likewise, as the chicks grow older you can introduce a perch into the environment to obtain them educated on setting down. Warmth To keep your chicks heat you need to give them with a warmth resource. This can be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile warmth bulb additionally work very well (my referral). Chicks require this warmth 24/7 until their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which can take up to two months). The recently hatched require a temperature in between 90 and also 100 levels, and each week this could be reduced by approximately 5 levels or so. The heat source need to get on simply one side of the cage to enable chicks a variety of temperature levels. The chicks are your best thermostat- if they are hiding in the opposite corner of your warmth light, you need to minimize the temperature. If they are smothering each various other under the warmth (not just snuggling), you should put some heat. Housekeeping Sanitation is key and also it maintains your chicks healthy and balanced. Be sure to alter the bed linens typically and also always offer clean food as well as water Food and also water. Chicks expand quite quickly which calls for a lot of clean food as well as water. Offer enough in any way times and also inspect commonly to prevent parched and starving chicks. Chick food is different than adult chicken food, as well as it can be found in both medicated and also non-medicated ranges. Feed chick food for the first 2 months, then switch over to a grower food (~ 17 % protein) for another 2 months, and then to a somewhat reduced healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have levels). Soil Some chicks prefer to get a head start on taking dirt baths, while others will not occupy that activity till they are older. If you have the area in your chick enclosure, present a tray of sand or dirt for them to wash in. Attention as well as love There are a few benefits to hanging out with your chicks. To start with, they will certainly most likely bond with you and not flee as grownups. Second, if you examine your chicks daily and also view their actions, you can capture ailment or various other problems previously. Watch out for wheezing, limping, or various other undesirable indications. Make sure to likewise take a look at their poop, as looseness of the bowels can result in matted feathers as well as blocked cloaca. Last but not least, it is essential to keep an eye out for social problems, such as the littlest chick obtaining picked on. Vacant nest syndrome So your chicks are now completely feathered as well as its time for them to leave the safety and security of your residence and move outside right into a coop. Look into our part on chicken cages for more information regarding coops and also appropriate cage habitats.
