A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

IATypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Blairsburg Iowa * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. If you want a mixture of both male and female then choosing a "straight run" will save you money and you will get a mixture of male and female chicks. You can also choose all males or all females too. * Weekly specials. Hatcheries have sales on chicks, you are likely to get a good deal if you are flexible with the breeds you are wanting. Cons of buying baby chicks in Blairsburg Iowa * Order early to get the best selection. Certain breeds sell out fast, sometimes as early as 6 months in advance of shipping! If you are wanting a certain breed it's best to order your chicks in the fall before their orders sell out.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Blairsburg Iowa is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Blairsburg, Iowa Baby chicks are really charming and difficult to stand up to, but it's finest to prepare for their arrival before you obtain them. Prepare initially by gathering not just the proper materials, however also the proper expertise to take care of them. Raising baby chicks is relatively basic, you merely have to give them with the following: A clean and also warm habitat Plenty of food and water Interest and love Environment Your environment can be a straightforward box, fish tank, cat carrier, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels and coverings (without any loose strings!) to begin, and after a couple of weeks make use of straw over newspaper. Keep in mind: Avoid utilizing only newspaper or other sandal surfaces-- or your chicks legs could expand malformed. You likewise require something to provide food and water in, such as a chicken feeder and also water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle container cover for food and also a pet bird water dispenser from an animal shop. Additionally, as the chicks grow older you can introduce a perch right into the environment to get them educated on perching. Heat To maintain your chicks warm you need to supply them with a heat resource. This could be as straightforward as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design light from an equipment shop, or an infrared reptile heat light bulb additionally work very well (my recommendation). Chicks require this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is changed with feathers (which could take up to two months). The newly hatched out need a temperature in between 90 and 100 degrees, and also weekly this could be lowered by about 5 levels or so. The warmth source need to get on merely one side of the cage to permit chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your finest thermostat- if they are hiding in the opposite corner of your warmth light, you should decrease the temperature. If they are smothering each various other under the heat (not just snuggling), you need to add some warmth. Housekeeping Cleanliness is key and also it maintains your chicks healthy. Make sure to alter the bed linen usually as well as constantly offer tidy food and also water Food and also water. Chicks expand extremely quick which calls for plenty of clean food as well as water. Give enough at all times and inspect frequently to prevent parched as well as starving chicks. Chick food is various than grown-up chicken food, and also it comes in both medicated and also non-medicated selections. Feed chick food for the very first 2 months, after that switch over to a grower food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for another 2 months, and after that to a slightly lower protein feed or a level feed (if you have layers). Soil Some chicks like to get a head start on taking dust bathrooms, while others won't use up that activity until they are older. If you have the room in your chick room, present a tray of sand or filth for them to wash in. Attention as well as love There are a couple of advantages to hanging out with your chicks. First of all, they will most likely bond with you and also not flee as grownups. Second, if you analyze your chicks daily and see their behavior, you could capture health problem or various other issues previously. Watch out for hissing, hopping, or other harmful signs. Make sure to also check out their poop, as looseness of the bowels could result in matted plumes as well as stopped up cloaca. Lastly, it is important to keep an eye out for social concerns, such as the littlest chick getting teased. Vacant nest syndrome So your chicks are now totally feathery and its time for them to leave the safety and security of your house and move outside right into a coop. Check out our area on chicken cages to read more concerning coops and also proper cage habitats.
