The yard will be fenced just to the right of the fig tree. That is going to be a huge blow to the layers as they love Fig Tree Hill. I will plant a tree on their side too. Fair is fair.
The new coop will be 8 ft x 8 ft square with a door, vents and a couple of wire covered windows. Chickens need good ventilation to be healthy. The roof will be slanted to the back for water run off.
The construction site has been teeming with activity until today, a rain day. Here is Bjorn, my Isbar cockerel checking out the new digs.
