A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

CTTypically hatcheries online offer both standard breeds and bantams. Bantams are fun hardy little chickens, they lay tiny eggs that kids especially love collecting. Bantams typically weigh less than 2 pounds when full grown. Just like ordering anything online there are pros and cons to ordering baby chicks online. Pros of buying baby chicks in Litchfield Connecticut * Big Selection - If you are wanting a large variety of different chicken breeds and egg colors, you will find the best selection at an online hatchery. * Both Bantams and full sized chickens available * You get to choose what sex you want. Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. Ordering baby chicks online in Litchfield Connecticut is easy and has always been a very pleasant experience of me. It can be a little frustrating waiting for the chicks but it's so worth the wait. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Litchfield, Connecticut Baby chicks are extremely charming and difficult to resist, yet it's best to plan for their arrival before you obtain them. Prepare first by collecting not only the right materials, however also the appropriate understanding to care for them. Raising baby chicks is reasonably basic, you merely have to offer them with the following: A tidy and also cozy environment A lot of food as well as water Interest and also love Environment Your environment can be a basic box, aquarium, feline provider, or guinea porker cage. Line it with old towels as well as blankets (without loosened strings!) to start, and after a couple of weeks use straw over newspaper. Keep in mind: Avoid using only newspaper or various other slipper surfaces-- or your chicks legs can grow misshapen. You likewise require something to dish out food and water in, such as a chicken feeder as well as water recipe from the feed shop, or a pickle container cover for food as well as an animal bird water dispenser from an animal shop. Likewise, as the chicks get older you can introduce a perch into the environment to get them trained on perching. Warmth To keep your chicks heat you have to offer them with a warmth source. This can be as easy as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from a hardware store, or an infrared reptile warmth bulb additionally work effectively (my recommendation). Chicks need this warmth 24/7 till their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which could use up to 2 months). The recently hatched require a temperature in between 90 and also 100 levels, and also weekly this can be decreased by approximately 5 levels approximately. The warmth source need to be on just one side of the cage to enable chicks an array of temperature levels. The chicks are your ideal thermometer- if they are concealing in the other edge of your warmth lamp, you have to lower the temperature. If they are smothering each various other under the heat (not merely snuggling), you have to add some heat. Housekeeping Cleanliness is essential as well as it maintains your chicks healthy and balanced. Be sure to transform the bed linens usually and constantly give tidy food and also water Food and also water. Chicks grow very fast which calls for plenty of clean food as well as water. Provide enough in any way times and check typically to stop thirsty and also starving chicks. Chick food is different compared to grown-up chicken food, and it can be found in both medicated as well as non-medicated varieties. Feed chick food for the very first two months, then switch to a raiser food (~ 17 % protein) for an additional 2 months, and afterwards to a slightly reduced healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have levels). Dirt Some chicks prefer to get a head start on taking filth bathrooms, while others will not take up that activity until they are older. If you have the room in your chick unit, present a tray of sand or dirt for them to shower in. Focus and love There are a few advantages to spending quality time with your chicks. To start with, they will certainly probably bond with you as well as not escape as grownups. Second, if you examine your chicks daily as well as enjoy their habits, you could catch illness or various other troubles previously. Keep an eye out for wheezing, hopping, or various other unhealthy signs. Make sure to also check out their poop, as diarrhea can result in matted feathers and clogged up cloaca. Last but not least, it is necessary to watch out for social issues, such as the smallest chick obtaining badgered. Vacant nest disorder So your chicks are now totally feathered and its time for them to leave the safety of your house and also move outside right into a cage. Have a look at our part on chicken cages for more information concerning coops and also proper cage habitats.
