A Curly Hair Revolution by Mixed Chicks®

My hair is a real pain in the butt. I’m not of a multiracial descent, but tell that to my hair! It’s very coarse, very thick, wavy, frizzy and virtually has a mind of its own. I loathe my hair, yet stylists, and even a nurse recently in the OR, have always told me how gorgeous, and shiny it is. Though, they don’t care for it daily, so maybe they can appreciate it a little more than I can. ® reached out to us and asked if anyone wanted to try to out their hair care products, and I quickly said yes.

Mixed Chicks® has an entire line of goodies for everyone! Whether you’re black, white, asian, latin, or any mix of those and more, their products are for everyone! They have hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioners, and more. They have products for men and children as well! Mixed Chicks® also carries hair accessories, gifts, and even dolls! So many great items to choose from! For me, the best part was seeing that they are Vegan and Animal Cruelty Free. The animal cruelty is a big thing in my animal adoring family.

They sent me their of three. The set includes 2 ounces of their Shampoo, 2 ounces of Deep Conditioner, and 2 ounces of Leave In Conditioner. It even comes in a TSA friendly, see through, resealable bag, so it’s perfect for those on the go.

I tried the shampoo and deep conditioner the other night in the shower. I loved it. It was silky and smooth and the smell was amazing! After I got out, and got my hair all dried off, I then put some leave in conditioner into my ends, because they are always dry and tangled. I really liked it. It didn’t weigh heavy on my hair, and it was so much easier to brush it out. I always struggle to get my hair brushed, so it was nice to have a product that not only made it easier on me, but didn’t weigh my hair down and make it look greasy. I think I will be ordering bigger sized bottles, and setting this nice travel set aside for when we head to the beach this summer. We all know how salt water, sun and sand will damage your hair, so these will be a nice healing treatment for my tresses.

Quantity - you must order a certain number of chicks. Typically hatcheries will require you buy a minimum of 25 chicks at a time. The number is necessary for the chicks survival during shipping. All 25 chicks are put in one small box without heat. They are crowded in the box and produce enough body heat to arrive in good shape. * The wait - If you choose to buy chicks from a feed store you will have them the same day but if you choose to go with a hatchery you have to wait until they are ready to ship and then wait for the chicks to arrive. When the post office calls and you hear all those little "cheeps" or "chirps" in the background you'll know the wait was worth it! How to Care for your new baby chickens in Delaware, Arkansas Baby chicks are really charming and challenging to resist, but it's ideal to plan for their arrival before you obtain them. Prepare initially by gathering not just the right products, however additionally the appropriate understanding to take care of them. Raising baby chicks is relatively easy, you simply should provide them with the following: A tidy as well as cozy habitat A lot of food and water Interest as well as love Habitat Your habitat can be a straightforward box, aquarium, cat carrier, or guinea pig cage. Line it with old towels and coverings (without loosened strings!) to begin, and also after a couple of weeks use straw over newspaper. Note: Avoid making use of just newspaper or other sandal surfaces-- or your chicks legs can expand misshapen. You additionally require something to serve up food as well as water in, such as a chicken feeder and water meal from the feed store, or a pickle jar cover for food as well as a pet bird water dispenser from an animal shop. Additionally, as the chicks get older you can introduce a perch into the habitat to obtain them trained on perching. Warmth To keep your chicks warm you have to supply them with a heat resource. This can be as easy as a 100 watt light bulb in a reflective clamp design lamp from an equipment store, or an infrared reptile warmth light bulb likewise function effectively (my recommendation). Chicks need this heat 24/7 up until their downy fluff is replaced with feathers (which could use up to two months). The newly hatched out need a temperature in between 90 and also 100 degrees, and also weekly this could be decreased by roughly 5 levels or so. The warmth source should get on merely one side of the cage to enable chicks a variety of temperature levels. The chicks are your best thermometer- if they are hiding in the opposite corner of your warmth lamp, you need to decrease the temperature. If they are surrounding each various other under the warmth (not merely cuddling), you should include some warmth. House cleaning Cleanliness is crucial and also it keeps your chicks healthy. Make certain to alter the bed linen usually and also consistently give clean food as well as water Food and also water. Chicks grow very quickly which calls for a lot of clean food and also water. Give enough at all times and also inspect usually to avoid thirsty and also hungry chicks. Chick food is different compared to adult chicken food, and also it comes in both medicated as well as non-medicated ranges. Feed chick food for the very first 2 months, after that change to a raiser food (~ 17 % healthy protein) for an additional 2 months, and then to a somewhat lower healthy protein feed or a level feed (if you have levels). Soil Some chicks like to obtain a running start on taking dust baths, while others won't occupy that activity till they are older. If you have the area in your chick unit, present a tray of sand or dust for them to shower in. Attention and also love There are a few benefits to hanging out with your chicks. First off, they will probably bond with you and also not flee as adults. Second, if you examine your chicks daily and watch their actions, you could capture illness or various other troubles earlier. Watch out for wheezing, limping, or various other harmful indications. Be sure to likewise take a look at their poop, as diarrhea can lead to matted plumes as well as obstructed cloaca. Last but not least, it is necessary to keep an eye out for social issues, such as the littlest chick getting teased. Empty nest syndrome So your chicks are currently fully feathered and its time for them to leave the safety and security of your house and relocate outside into a coop. Check out our section on chicken coops to learn more about cages and appropriate coop habitats.
